Local churches aren’t letting the coronavirus shutdowns stop them from celebrating Easter this Sunday. In an effort to pull the community together and keep congregations connected to their local churches, WMBG Radio will be hosting several Easter services.

The local services will begin at 8 a.m. Easter Sunday. People can tune in to FM 93.5 and AM 740 to listen. The services will also be broadcast online at WMBGRadio.com.

Pastor Reginald Davis from First Baptist Church will kick-off the morning with a message, followed by Pastor Jim Hunter from Walnut Hills.

At 9 a.m. Pastor Ed Preston from Tsena Commocko Baptist Church will be speaking, followed by a special episode of “A Woman’s Heart” by Lisa Granger at 9:30.

At 10 a.m., there will be a message from Fred Liggin at Williamsburg Christian Church. Williamsburg Presbyterian Church will be delivering their message live from Pastor John Morgan at 11 a.m.

Traditionally each Sunday local services begin on the station at 9:30 a.m., but because of the coronavirus pandemic, station owner Greg Granger said in a news release that he wanted to expand the broadcast to include additional churches and hopes that this contribution will help draw everyone closer and strengthen everyone’s faith.
